"WHAT can you ever really know of other people's souls--of their temptations, their opportunities, their struggles? One soul in the whole creation you do know and it is the only one whose fate is placed in your hands.

I remember years and years ago while attending church an incident happened that shouldn't have.
A family came for the first time to the church. There were two little boys with their mother and father. They weren't dressed the finest and possibly they might not have smelled the sweetest. However, they were at church. Two older ladies came out of their Sunday school room and headed into the sanctuary. They walked to the pew where they normally sat only to find it occupied by this new family. Now, rather than speak to the family; introduce themselves and welcome them, one of the ladies spoke up,
"You've got our seats."
The father looked at them; then at his wife as if to say, "Now what do we do?" When they remained seated, the two ladies huffed, turned and made their way clear across the church and took a seat. Needless to say that was the last time this family came to that church.
We don't know about the souls of others. Those ladies didn't know, and apparently didn't care, about the souls of that family or they wouldn't have acted in such an indignant manner. Were those people believers? Were they born again and going to Heaven? Or were they lost souls seeking a place of refuge where someone cared about them. We will never know..........we can only surmise.
“Then those ‘sheep’ are going to say, ‘Master, what are you talking about? When did we ever see you hungry and feed you, thirsty and give you a drink? And when did we ever see you sick or in prison and come to you?’ Then the King will say, ‘I’m telling the solemn truth: Whenever you did one of these things to someone overlooked or ignored, that was me—you did it to me.’ Matthew 25:37-40 (MSG)
