Christmas is an Excuse for Making Someone's Life Better

"Christmas is an excuse for making someone's life better."

The weather has been so warm during the month of December it's difficult to get in the Christmas mood it seems.

Those of us who have family near by are so very blessed.  "The Lord willin' and the creek don't rise" as the old saying goes, we will get to spend at least part of this Christmas season with all of our immediate family together.  When family is scattered across the country that's difficult. And, as children and grandchildren marry, we find ourselves sharing them with their in-laws.

Had you ever thought that there are people waiting to be encouraged during the holidays; people who are unable to spend time with their family for whatever reason? Maybe we need to cease our own self-centered hustle and bustle long enough to see! Could you invite someone who has no place to go to spend Christmas with your family?

' When did we see you a stranger and invite you in, or needing clothes and clothe you? When did we see you sick or in prison and go to visit you?’
“The King will reply, ‘Truly I tell you, whatever you did for one of the least of these brothers and sisters of mine, you did for me.’  Matthew 25:38-40(NIV)
