Coaches have a play book. They play by the book. How many of us play by God's play book?
How many new parents are as quick to share about the Babe in the manger as they are their own new baby?
How many doctors are more concerned about the physical health of their patient than their spiritual health?
Does a science teacher share about spiritual life as easily as they share about physical life?
What about the insurance salesperson? Do they know as much about eternal life "assurance" as they know about life insurance? Do they share that?
Most of us find it easier to share the latest gossip than sharing about Christ.
Time is the excuse we all use for not sharing God's promises with others. Oh, we find ten or fifteen minutes a day for our daily devotion. We take a minute to pray before meals. But, beyond that, how much thought do we give to our Savior? Are we as excited to tell others about Him as we are to talk about Saturday's game?
Suppose your unsaved friend was about to fall from a cliff. All you had to do was reach out and grab him to save him from death. Would you be as willing to grab him from certain eternal death by sharing with him God's free gift of salvation?
"For the wages of sin is death, but the free gift of God is eternal life in Christ Jesus our Lord." Romans 6:23 ESV
I believe our Lord would rather we spend our time sharing with others about His love than complaining to others about a businesses plain, red Solo cup.
I don't believe that God just suggested we tell about Him. I believe He commanded it.
"He said to them, “Go into all the world and preach the gospel to all creation." Mark 16:15 NIV
