War is a horrible thing. It's something that has been waged since early times. Genesis 14:14-16 tells that Abram heard a relative had been taken captive, he called 318 men to pursue and attack. They were successful and returned the relative.
What should we do during wartime? First of all, we must pray for our
government leaders as well as our military leaders that they will look
to God for answers. We need to pray for the safety of our military and
for the families they leave behind. We need to pray for those men and
women who have returned; some so shattered physically and mentally, they
have to live on the streets. And, more than anything, we need to pray
for the return of the Lord when there will be no more war.
In God's word, we find the Lord talking to Isaiah about Judah and Jerusalem. The Lord gave Isaiah a promise.
"The Lord will settle international disputes; all the nations will convert their weapons of war into implements of peace. Then at the last all wars will stop and all military training will end." Isaiah 2:4 (TLB)
Let's continue to pray for peace....................
