How Do You Choose Your Friends?

I wrote in an earlier post about how our lives would have been different had we been born at a different time and place. Our lives would also be different if we had not had the friends we have or the right associates at work.

Take a minute and look at your life now.......

Do you have good friends? Some people want a lot of friends and some people only want one friend at a time. Do your friends influence you for good? Do you pick your friends or do they pick you?

I look at my Facebook list of friends. I have over 1100 of them. True, some are acquaintances; some I have known in the past; some are long lost relatives and some are true friends and family that I see or communicate with almost every day.

I see comments on Facebook of people who threaten to delete friends from the friend list for one reason or another. And, I am a believer in doing just that if it's a friend who is either using bad language or demeaning others in the things they say
.
"Don’t hang out with angry people;
don’t keep company with hotheads.
Bad temper is contagious—
don’t get infected." Proverbs 22:24-25 (MSG)

As John Mason once said, "God did not write solo parts for us. He has Divine connections for you--the right friends and the right associations. These good connections always bring out the original in you... After you've been with them you find yourself less critical, more full of faith and with a vision for the future!!!"

Be careful who you choose as a friend. They can make a big difference in your life.
