What does your calendar look like? Our calendar isn't as filled up as it once was when we were in business and had two daughters that were in this or that activity. But, we still have obligations and we have places we love to go. Those have to be scheduled. And, they certainly have to be written down because age has done a number on both of our memories.
I don't know about you but I confess that I waste a lot of time. I
spend time on my computer checking my emails or Facebook. And, I spend a
lot of time writing for my blog along with reading, usually two of
three books at a time. I have more free time certainly but I have also
discovered that it takes me longer to do things than it once did so
extra time is needed.
When we think about all of the activities coming up each week, where do we place our time with God? Is He put on the back burner where we try to work Him in if we have a spare minute? How do we expect to get to know God if we don't schedule time to spend with Him.
If Jesus felt it was important that He spend time talking to His Father, how much more important is it for us to do so.........
"The next morning he was up long before daybreak and went out alone into the wilderness to pray." Mark 1:35 (TLB)
